Zero Balancing is a hands-on body-mind system of therapy that balances the relationship of energy and structure within the bones and tissues of the body. Simple yet powerful, it focuses on the whole person, even when addressing specific needs. It consists of gentle stretches and acupressure, focusing on joints and bones, and using a skilled touch.

Zero Balancing focuses on the skeletal system of the body because the deepest, strongest currents of energy are conducted by bone, the densest tissue in the body. There are certain joints, which have little range of motion, whose main function has to do with transmission of energetic forces. When these joints are imbalanced, the body must compensate elsewhere, thus affecting function, tension, movement on all levels, and health, emotional and physical.

The practitioner is sensing and evaluating, through trained touch, places where energy is held (rather than moving) in the bones and joints. By placing gentle finger pressure and/or stretches there, a space of dynamic stillness is created wherein the energy can reorient and reorganize. Thus, currents (vibrations) can release any held-tension patterns and become more organized or balanced. The integration that follows directly influences tissue memory and cellular content, thus easing physical and emotional trauma and stress.

This creates a clearer, stronger field for the whole person. This clearer, stronger field is experienced in many ways, for example, as feeling balanced, centered, grounded, freed-up, lighter, taller, more present, having a feeling of well-being, of body-felt unity, more clarity, in touch with oneself, free of pain, greater range of motion, more flexibility, and so on.

Because Zero Balancing deals with energy and energy fields directly, and in their relation to body structure, its balancing processes often release stress before it becomes physically manifested. Stress vibrations pass more easily through the body, which helps one deal more effectively with life situations.
