What can I expect at my first session?

Before the initial session, Linda will ask you about any injuries, surgeries or conditions that would be helped by massage or ZB, or adversely affected by them.  Fifteen extra minutes can be scheduled for this initial discussion, at no cost to you, if needed.  Also discussed will be the best modality, massage or ZB, for what you want to accomplish.  Massage lasts about 55+ minutes; ZB lasts about 40-45 minutes, with brief discussion before and after.  For massage, Linda will leave the room so that you can get undressed and situated between the linens on the massage table.  ZB is done through clothing, so there is no undressing except for shoes, belt, and bulky items in pockets.

What should I wear?

For ZB, comfortable clothing is best (preferably not jeans as the cloth and seams are thick and stiff).

Do I need more than one session?

At the beginning of ZB therapy, once or twice weekly sessions may be recommended.  A minimum of three visits will give you a fair assessment of whether ZB is helpful for your needs.  Clients should receive ZB at intervals of two to four weeks for maintenance of optimum health.  ZB work is cumulative, each session building on the last one.  Regular massage, at two, three or four week intervals, is recommended for maintaining levels attained in relaxation and health.

Can ZB and massage be done together?

A ZB session is based on treating the whole person from the point of view of their wellness, not on isolated symptoms.  In the course of doing this, isolated symptoms may also vastly improve.  Massage therapy lends itself more toward working on specific areas.  Often, treating the whole person (as in ZB) affects many seemingly isolated symptoms - because at some level, they are in fact connected.  Some clients have found their conditions improve by following a course of ZB sessions, sprinkled with an occasional massage session.

What does a session cost?

An hour ZB or massage session costs $65.
An hour and half massage session costs $85.
A half hour chair massage or foot reflexology session costs $35.
